About this free course
The Craft preliminary course to both wicca and witchcraft, and New Age philosophy

Carefully selected video and text serve as artistic introductions to vast uncharted realms of the Great Unknown. You are transported into the No-Man's-Land between science and religion shared by philosophers, atheists, heretics, and occult mystics since man first looked up to the stars. You enter a field whereupon the supernatural unveils a secret reality. The fine arts of music and movies can be, and are, transporting.

Popular divination, fortune-telling, spell-casting--the mystical arts in general-- all depend on the existence of this secret reality to the extent that they are effective.

Wicca is a religion with rituals derived from Margaret
Murray's The God of the Witches (1933) and Gerald Gardner's Book of Shadows (c. 1950).

Witchcraft comes from a time before mankind invented a God or any kind of  religion. It is found outside of established religion in the craft of shaman and sorcerer. Witchcraft is the secret reality (religion is man-made, human-centered  beliefs imposed upon that reality).

For more than forty years starwise has utilized witchcraft and wicca in its neverending search for truth, wisdom, and knowledge beyond the ordinary: but its spells, divinations, and adventures derive from direct experience and imagination-- and its secret knowledge is tentative, hypothetical, mysterious. In this free course, and deeply in secret membership teachings, you enter into a field of adventure and exploration on The Side.

The Craft is beyond wicca or religion: it is a secret reality you explore.

WITCHCRAFT IS THE ULTIMATE WAY TO ESCAPE THE TERROR OF HISTORY AND IT WORKS, SOMETIMES.

Religion is another, self-delusional way, and it works. Everything that happens to you, good or bad, is 'God's wishes'.

A life for money and materialistic pleasure is another way of escape, and it works by ignoring the terror completely-- "live fast, die young: leave a pretty corpse".

Magic and popular witchcraft can work by giving you elusive control over the world. Wicca adds religion to witchcraft. If it doesn't work, that is "the wish of the god or goddess".

High culture and mysticism, and of course, science, allow you to escape its horrific burden intellectually or transcendentally; but you will still be haunted by your deep awareness of the terror of non-being and the meaninglessness of life.

Real witchcraft comes from the time before religion or science. Today we romanticize it as a Nature religion of magic and mystery. A lost way. In The Craft you remain one with Nature even when magical spells fail, or divination misleads. You find meaning in life from the gliding motions of the stars and another reality of being from secrets of the night
.

We seek answers to mysteries of life beyond this world
WE ARE THE STARS WHICH SING. WE SING OUR LIGHT. WE ARE THE BIRDS OF FIRE. WE FLY ACROSS THE HEAVEN. OUR LIGHT IS A STAR. WE MAKE A ROAD FOR THE SPIRITS. WE ARE ADVENTURERS SEEKING A BEAR. THERE NEVER WAS A TIME WHEN WE WERE NOT MAGIC. WE LOOK DOWN ON THE MOUNTAINS. THIS IS THE SONG BEYOND THE MOUNTAIN.
--Starwise variation of The Song of the Stars (Passamaquoddy)
